New Pathways: FC FUTURES Collaborates with the Football Foundation

In April 2023, EA SPORTS FC introduced FC FUTURES, a $10 million endeavor to invest in grassroots football worldwide by focusing on product innovation, community support, and partnerships to expand the sport's reach.

In partnership with the Football Foundation, EA SPORTS FC inaugurated The 'Rocky and Wrighty Arena' at Turnham Academy in South London. Opened by Ian Wright, this initiative aimed to rejuvenate a football pitch, encouraging youth involvement and nurturing future players.

The launch also included an online repository of FC FUTURES training modules developed with UEFA coaches and inspired by in-game drills, offered free for grassroots coaches and educators to enhance local training sessions.

Two years later, the Rocky and Wrighty Arena remains a vibrant hub for young people in South East London to gather and enhance their football skills.

In 2024, the collaboration extended to renovating the Birmingham Concord Centre, creating a multi-sport venue that hosted basketball programs for girls and young women, coordinated by local sports organizations. The space is utilized by R.Y.A.N Education Academy and local youth, fostering social connections and inclusivity.

The partnership plans to establish a new site in Silksworth, Sunderland, in line with the Football Foundation's PlayZone initiative to establish 240 playing facilities by 2025.
