It has taken almost a whole year, but the first Berbatov special card of the year is finally here. The Bulgarian has transitioned from a striker to a centre-back. While the SBC version costs around 40,000 coins, it is the 200,000 Evolution version that we are focusing on.

After discussing Ultimate Team with Berbatov earlier this year, anticipation has been high for his special card debut, and he has not disappointed. The base version comes with 2 PlayStyle+ enhancements, with significant boosts to the 97 version. Acquiring Tiki Taka+ and First Touch+ in addition to base Quick Step, Intercept, Pinged, and Incisive Pass. While an improvement over the SBC version, the question remains - is he worth the 200,000 coins?

- The defending was outstanding. He seemed capable of defending on his own, showcasing exceptional positional awareness.
- His dribbling was smooth and impressive, allowing him to play out from the back effectively.
- His passing was of high quality, particularly his long balls for switching play.
- His strength was notable as well, with the Bruiser PlayStyle aiding him in winning many duels.
Berbatov - Hit or Miss?
This Berbatov card is excellent and significantly strengthens the defense. For the price, there are few better center-back options available, making it a highly recommended addition to your team!
