Estádio José Alvalade to host Legends Charity Game!

The inaugural Legends Charity Game, organized by Sport Global, will take place at Sporting CP’s Estádio José Alvalade, starting a yearly series until 2030.

The match will feature Portugal Legends against World Legends on Monday, September 15, 2025, with a live performance by Calema during half-time, aiming to raise €1 million for charity.

The confirmation of the venue came after finalizing the Champions League schedule, selecting Estádio José Alvalade as the location for the series' opening match. Kick-off is set for 20:00, with players arriving at 18:00, gates opening at 18:30, and a pre-game show at 19:40. Calema, the duo known for their pop and Afrobeat music, will perform during half-time.

The Portugal team, led by Luís Figo, includes stars like Ricardo Quaresma, Nani, and Pepe. Figo expressed excitement for the event and the opportunity to raise funds for charity.

The World Legends team will include notable players such as Kaká, Roberto Carlos, and Michael Owen. The match proceeds will support charities like the Portuguese Red Cross and International Alert.

Founder Rasmus Sojmark highlighted the importance of the game in uniting fans, legends, and communities for charitable causes. Tickets are on sale, with premium options available, and donations can be made online.
